Correspondence today is much more like annonuncements than an exchange of ides leading up to a development of philosphies. There is very little meaningful conversation like that between Bapu & tolstoy or Bapu & Shrimad Ramchandra. Letters might be replaced by emails, but its usage is mostly for normal citizens. All politicians do have emails ids but how many of them use electronic mail instead of the post to put across that point? Rarely!! Because the spectrum of wikileaks always looming over their head or they might have fear of getting spammed!! They give the excuse that emails don't have same appeal as letters..
